June 9th, 2006…My little sister accomplished what I considered my proudest moment for her, she graduated from Grants Pass High School. A shocking fact is that 20% of her freshman class didn’t make it to their senior graduation. My little sister almost joined that 20% of people who couldn’t tough it out, but she pulled through with a lot of hard work and perseverance. I would like to take a few moments to highlight some of the memorable moments:

The Day of Graduation…

My niece was an arch barer that evening…

The stage all set up…

The location of the ceremony…

Anxiously awaiting her greatest achievement…

It was inevitable that a beach ball or two was to take air. This moment even hit the local news up here in Portland as approximately 15 students were being withheld their diplomas for “disruptions” like this…
On stage…her moment of greatness…

It’s OFFICIAL!!!

This is what wearing big ass sunglasses in 85 degree weather for 3hrs. will do to you…

My niece and Her Mom (My Older Sister)…

My little sister and her boyfriend…

Proud Mother…

Of course I have to be different…

Welcome to the real world Rachel. I only wish you the best and hope that you continue on to college and become rich and famous so you can take care of me when I’m old…I know that high school was difficult, but the fact that you stuck it out shows me that deep down inside you have the strength to accomplish anything you put your mind to…If you ever need a helping hand, you have my number…Even though you’ve entered the real world and now you’re on your own…You still have your family!!!
