So as soon as I heard those words I lost it. I was a blubbering mess…
It was an emotional moment for me due primarily to the fact that achieving my first degree black belt was a task that took seven years!!! It takes the average person 3yrs from start to finish passing every possible test to achieve the rank of black belt. For me, I made some life decisions that put my goal on hiatus. Well it’s official, I’m now a first degree black belt and I haven’t been more motivated to continue training now than I have ever been. I can’t wait to see what the next year in TKD will unveil…
